MAJOR PROBLEM/UPDATE HERE.....I'VE HAD MY FAN IN NOW FOR ALMOST 7,000MILES AND WELL TODAY IT BLEW THE FUSE, so then I replaced it and the wires from the spal motor started melting, not sure what the problem is but my spal motor is screwed. I am going to contact the spal engineeer I was talking to. I think the wiring was 16gauge, the stock wiring was 12 I think it was a lot thicker either way. Not sure what the trouble, I am really bummed because I am supposed to wheel this weekend and now have no water proof fan and no spare fan

I have my stock back in but now if I go wheelin and kill that I am stuck and on a sunday when most everything is closed and I'll be 600miles from home to boot doing a snorkel only run which will have some real deep holes.

ok so you havent seen many of my video's or pics like my avatar lol.....I have been through 5 stock motors and now the spal except I didnt kill the spal wheelin. I've been with people taking it fairly easy and blow a fan also. sundays run is going to be ALL DEEP hence the snorkel ONLY part, yeah maybe I wont blow one, but if I do I am 600miles from home.

bro.... the way I see it, you got 3 options
#1.... find a stock fan motor at the dealer tomorrow (any dealer) and return it if you dont end up using it..... if you can't find a stock fan that go get a TJ fan clutch and a 16" hayward fan and a few bolts.... those parts should all be available at autozone or another store. Return them if you dont use them.
#2 .... Take you fan bolts off when you get to the wheeling spot. And remove the fan at every hole and put it back in afterwards.... (pain in the ass)
#3 .... dont do anything... if your fan breaks get drunk at a friends house.... monday order a stock fan... Tuesday get the fan and go home.... btw... get drunk on monday too
..... this seems temting but I would go with option #1
