That sucks dude! I cant believe the SPAL crapped out so soon. Have you heard anything back from the engineer? Are they going to replace it? I sure hope they do for how much they charged... I havent had any problems on mine yet, and I've had it about 6k miles.

I only emailed them late last night so no, I have no idea if they will replace it as I bought it from Universal Radiator ebay store, I paid 120 shipped.

Damn TK. Not sure we're winning the war against high temp right now. Where was the fuse located? Did the hot wire get pinched somewhere between the fuse and motor? If not, that motor sure smoked the system. That's a major short there. Keep us updated man and good luck.

BTW Don't forget your life vest.

Maybe a quick disco set-up for the fan?

Holy cow... that sucks. Let us know what the engineer says. I'm begining to think these fans are not as good as I hoped. My SPAL is vibrating everytime it runs now because I went through some bad water/mud holes last weekend. I pulled it out to see if I broke a blade or something and everything looks good. I still need to do more investigating to find out where the vibrations are coming from. Hopefully I didn't bend the shaft.

tk

its time to take the rad out and mount it in the back with a fan. thats the only way mud trucks can survive. either that or lift it higher but knowing you that will just make you go deeper.
