Spare tire mount need help!
Teraflex makes a extension for brake light and don't really know what plate ur talking about? I had a 35 on the stock mount for 2 years it is too heavy for it I think but didn't cause me problems while I was saving for bumper tire carrier
I ran mine on the stock carrier. 35x12.50 with 4" back spacing for about 3 months. It bolted right up. I put the Daystar extended gate bumpstops but not really sure they did much. The weight did cause the gate to have a outward twist in it noticible at the seam on the latch side. It made me really uncomfortable with it up there especially off road. I would watch it bouch and rattle around like crazy so I made sure to go pretty slow when I hit the dirt. I'm now running the LoD rear bumper with tire carrier and that fixed that. Fortunately I had no lasting affects from the tire mounted to the stock carrier. I've seen wheels with less back spacing mounted and they rest right on the stock rear bumper. I'd think that would be the best route considering the weight isn't solely on the rear gate.
I have the MBRP relocation bracket and daystar extended tailgate bump stops for my 35x12.5x17 trail grapplers, I have only had it on for like 2 weeks. However I do not want to risk my tailgate, so I am buying the orfab tire carrier tomorrow.
