Na, just thought I'd get him to toss one up here ...not that it has much to do with wheel studs breaking

HEFTY,

Go to Car Quest to get the stud. Its a Dorman number: 610-183.
This happend to me about 3 weeks ago and this is the part Spidertrax said it is. I paid $3.21 out the door for one stud.

Well.......this sucks!
Snapped another stud today on the same spacer.....
NAPA didn't have any....ordered 10.... going to replace all the studs in this spacer now, can't risk it.
What's the chances of this???? the more I think of about it, probably pretty good.

I think something is definately up with this. Are you using anti sieze compound going on with the studs? If not, you should be.

If you over or under torqued them significantly in the first place. This may not be too surprising.

Replacing all of them is definitely the right thing to do.

My guess...and it's really only a guess, hefty, you might have gotten a little too hefty on them with the ole star wrench at some point??

I would be more interested in meeting the requirement for the torque on the lug nuts than what Spidertrax says. If the Spidertrax torque is above that of the factory lug nuts....then therein could lie the problem. Also, when I recommended the anti sieze, understand I meant only on the wheel studs. Not on the studs securing the spacer.
