Red Loctite is used for things you don't want to come off unless heated up or using a 3/4" impact to take it off.

Blue loctite on the other hand will be plenty of strength for ensuring that those wheel spacers will not come off easily.
I didn't want them to come off. (well...not any time soon at least.) And we've taken some of the spacers on a buddy's JK that had red on it without needing to heat it, but it could just be that particular case. But I'm guessing there's a reason Spidertrax sends red with the spacers from the factory.

If I were Spidertrax and I didn't want a lawsuit on my hands dealing with Joe Shmoe not knowing how to tighten his wheel lugs, I would send red loctite as well.

Thanks for the Blue Loctite info, wnere can I buy this? Auto parts or hardware store.

The guy had them on sale as part of a package with 5 stock GoodYear SRA's with 17" wheels for $400, I asked him if he would sell only the spacers and he did. He stated on the ad that they came off a 2010 Wrangler and he sent me pictures of what looks like a 2010 2dr Sport. I asked him why he sold the Jeep and he just gave me a sad face and said time were touch... I felt bad, gave him the cash and went on my way.

I'm guessing he bought them from a local shop that had them in stock for a while, I just saw a local PepBoys that has a Warn M8000 winch and they are asking $1024.00. I offered them to make me a deal and they told me they would not mark it down. (Good luck on that)

I have had the same 1.5" spacers for a year now, and I haven't had any problems. They work great.

Blue or Red Loctite can be bought at any hardware or auto parts store.

I steal mine from the dealership...

As it has been said before, of course Spidertrax gives you Red, they never want any chance of those things backing off. The lug nuts should come off when using Red, but then again I know people who have sheared off their lugs because they were over tightened. Blue would be safer, and proper torque and checking them after each tire rotation safer still.

When's the last time you put thread locker on the lugs after a tire rotation? When's the last time you had a tire come off with properly torqued nuts? Me neither.

I think that part number is for adaptors not spacers....

If I'm right they will not have the same bolt pattern. which means they won't fit inside of each other... I think that part number is to run CJ style rims on a JK. So it is not just movign the wheels out, but also changing the bolt pattern.

Do they fit inside of each other? can you set one set inside the holes on the other? If not it is an adaptor set- not just the spacers...

Red loctite is what spidertrax supplied me with to install the spacers.

I'm the guy Merlin was talking about...1/2" impact took it right off no problem... Clearly, your that guy.
