Shucks I've been running my spacers for 3 years, 56,000 miles and NO issues. Mine are not Spidertrax, but are 6061 billet and grade 8 lugstuds with hubcentric machining. They are not anodized but I've had no corrosion develop. I run on and off ramps routinely at high speeds, no worries.

I just installed 285/70/17 BFG AT KO's through Discount Tire. I was worried that they'd rub and mentioned spacers. They DT guy was like "Yeah we don't touch spacers" but then when I explained the type (Spydertrax). The guy was then like "Oh, yah, those are the good kind. We'd install to those."

Thankfully, so far my tires don't rub so I get to save some cash for now :-)

Good to hear! Just installed mine last weekend. Seemed like a good solid product with minimal weight. I purchased the Teraflex ones first....they are solid, but super heavy.

Default RC spacers is the way to go!

I went with Rough Country 1.5 wheel spacers. Think about it. Same 6061-T6 aluminum as Spidertrax, Grade 8 studs as Spidertrax, hub-centric as Spidertrax, but almost half the price.

The way I see it it's not Spidertrax, it's SpiderTAX. Plus, I don't get what's the deal with the blue color?

Got RC and I am a happy camper. Way to go RC!

Sorry. The shipped cost difference is about $60. They aren't 1/2 price.

RC has a history of selling spacers with Grade 5 quality studs that were represented as Grade 8. They never issued a recall for the less than represented spec spacers. I would never run RC spacers on a street driven rig.

Can't seem to find any evidence of this. Can you post a link or point me in a right direction, please?

Looks like when WOL banned me from JKF that that thread got deleted.

Before I ran 40s on my JK, I bought a pair of RC spacers and had them tested.

6061-T6 has a tensile strength of 45,000 PSI, not 31,400.

Grade 8 bolts have a hardness rating of 33-39, not 26.2.

These are the results for the RC spacers:

X2. Stick with the proven Spidertrax. Not worth saving a little money to get an inferior product, especially when your safety is involved.

I have 20K on mine and have them checked every tire rotation (5K miles). They have never come loose and were always at the proper torque. Love the look as well.
