I have the front Mopar splash guards installed. I plan on running them in the winter only. They do keep the road crap down low but not completely off the sides. You'll still get a coating, maybe a foot or so above the rocker area. My main concern was keeping the door handles clean. They work fine for that.

I have used mud flaps on other vehicles and they squish quite nicely when they hit bumps and rocks. I hope these are created equally.

Well I got just the fronts, left the rears with the Parts dept, and I must say, I like the way having just the fronts on looks. I had no shxt spray up the sides of my jeep at all after a regular drive in it, through snow salt and crap. So far they're doing theyre job, and I like the way the fronts look from the side.

And they were free, with my Mopar voucher...can't beat that.

how come nobody uses a think piece of rubber, this way they can bend and flop if needed, and keep everything clean

I can hold my tongue no longer!

Reasons not to install mudflaps:

#10 - People might mistake your Jeep for a Mercedes G-Wagon

#9 - I just threw up a little bit in my mouth

#8 - They get ripped off and leave big ugly holes

#7 - Extra weight

#6 - Encourages dogs to chase Jeep and bite at flaps

#5 - Obstructs view of tire when picking your line through a field of rocks strewn along a rough trail

#4 - Constantly bothered with offers by retired folks to buy your Jeep so they can tow it behind their motorhome.

#3 - Um, it's a Jeep!

#2 - Added wind resistance

and the #1 reason not to install mud flaps is.......

CHICKS DIG MUDDY JEEPS

Well I see yer problem right there. You need a good set of rock flaps for that kind of wheeling.

I was tired of putting slush on my pants when putting children in/out, so I was about ordring a set for the front. Wish it catch a bit of the stuff that go on the rear fender. Last snow fall, the door scrape the slush when I open it. I will took it off for the summer for sure. Just part of the winter preparation for me even if it look
