Default SPOD install help

I have been watching videos on how to install an SPOD. It looks pretty simple. However, the instructions stated to run the wire from the SPOD through the firewall into the cab of the JEEP via grommet on the bottom lateral side of the master cylinder.

Unfortunately, I have stock stuff running through that grommet and cannot put my SPOD wire through there. The only other place that I know where I can run the wire through is to the right (driver's side) of the hood under the cowling that goes between the hood and windshield. There is hole in the firewall where I had run all my wires for through for my lights. The problem is, the hole is too small for the fitting on the end of the wire. Thus I would have to cut fitting off and reattach to the wires once I run it through. I do not like this idea.

Anyone know of an alternate hole I can use that fitting or connector will fit through?

Thanks,
John

I did mine right where it said to in the instructions even through the grommet there. It wasn't easy but I literally just pushed it through. I think I made a slight cut to make it easier as well but its a goo type grommet. I haven't had any issues with it. Plus my bully dog cable went through the same one.

Same spot for mine as well, I've also got an air line running there for the intake side of a viair comptessor, it's a bit nerve wracking but it will fit smoothly. The guys at sPOD have done a bang up job with their design so you don't have to modify too much to get it in! Good luck! And if you have problems they are great on the phone

I do not even have that hole on the inside of my Jeep. And the grommet under the hood is full of brake stuff.

I don't know how to post pictures or i would show u. I ended up going through the grommet that the tude for the rear windshield washer fluid went through. Again, i do not know gow to upload a photo or i would show u.

I used the grommet on the drivers side with the rear washer fluid line run though it. I pulled the grommet, made a small cut in it and pushed the cable through. Then I re-installed the grommet and sealed everything up. Hope this helps...

Thats how I ended up running mine through as well. I am quite pleased with the looks after the install was complete.

Thanks for the help.
