Default Spring pop?

So I went wheeling the past two days and after flexing the front real good I would sometimes hear a pop like the front springs came unseated or something... Do they have spring retainers for the front? Is that even what I am hearing? I'm pretty sure it is but need something to reassure me. Next I have spring retainers in the rear. Has anyone used these with coil spacers? Thanks a bunch!

A pop?

All anyone can do is guess for you brother. People say it's possible for a front spring to come out under extreme flex. I think it's unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.

Rears are at more risk IMO - especially if you're dealing with a turned housing (to correct pinion angle) and don't use correction shims on the perches (I run the shims + retainers in back).

My front pop all the time. Flex enough to unseat it and it twists off the notch on the bottom of the perch. Jack it up, twist the spring back, call it a day. Driving it with it not on the notch won't hurt anything, I notice it and go weeks at a time with it that way.

my TF 2.5 coils do that... sounds like i'm busting something when the coil snaps back in place.... i know its the coil on the drivers side that does it on mine because the end of the coil is currently out of the little pocket on the lower perch.
i just need to flex it again and try to rotate the coil slightly so the end is not so tight against the pocket so it won't want to pop out ..

anyway.. hope that makes sense and helps...

edit: gah .. suffolk beat me to it... typing one-handed while feeding the baby .. haha
