Default Springs loose when flexed question...

Lift guru's, I had my jk on lift last weekend and the front springs were just sitting there. As in, I could completely wiggle them around. The jeep was being lifted by the frame not axles. No disconnects we're out. The lift is a rubicon express super flex 3.5inch short arm kit with fox reservoir shocks on 2 door. Coast drive shafts front and rear. Rears were not loose since I had put limiting straps on them. Should I be concerned. Again suspension was free hanging off the ground. Will a spring come out if on the trail flexed out???? Any guidance is appreciated.

You should look into buying F&R spring retainers

Is this something that shouldn't be happening or is it normal? Are the clips better than straps?

Did u get the shocks separately or did they come in a complete lift?

Limiting straps limit the flex of your jeep. Spring retainers retain your springs so they stay in place

Sounds like the shocks aren't correct for the lift, probably when you bought them they it said something general like, will fit 2.5-4" lift. It's a simple fix with that bracket. This is the reason why I spent the unnecessary money on the AEV lift, I knew if I bought a lift a la carte something wouldn't fit or run into issues.

Is the springs being loose a problem I can fix or would the clip be the fix? Hope that makes sense, just don't want to band-aid it if I have to fix something.

Another note should the shock be the flex limiter??? Not trying to be a pain just a little concern now. Thank you for your input.

Shock shouldn't be flex limiter. That's why they make straps and bump stops. As for the coils, I've never heard of anyone's being lose when flexing as well as my own, so I'm guessing you have the incorrect coils. Is the shop that did your lift reputable, are you sure they are even JK coils?
