I'm about to purchase a Sprintex SC and was wondering if anyone had any install tips or advice?

It does come with install instructions. Also if you go to the Sprintex website you can download them. Let me know when you are ready to order I'm a dealer for them.

Appreciate the offer but I've got one bought already thru a friend. I know I used to read a lot of negative things about them when they first came out for the JK but from what I understand now they're pretty solid.

Congrats Some tricks for the install. run a couple tanks of premium before install. Make sure you remove any other tunes (other programmers back to stock). For the install Hex wrenches. I used a 1/4" drive with a 6" extension and a swivel for the far aft bolts (pull the wire harness forward to slide the wrench down.

There is the 3rd to the back on the passenger side which is a tight fit. I cut the short side of the hex by 1/2 and cut off 1/3 of the long end so I could turn the hex easier ( make sure you have 2 of them and only cut one)

While you are at it replace the spark plugs with OEM plugs (gapped at .050)

Update the tuner with the latest tune before you start and right before you start the install do the tune to make sure it will load... It will save time if you have an error with the tuner.

Let me know if you have any questions...

Thanks! Just changed my plugs and wires a couple weeks ago so that's one step outta the way. It's comin with the diablo tuner, now are those vin locked or when he takes the tune off his will it be ok to use on mine?
I have a 2007 2 door with 37's, 4.10 gears, (it came with those gears from the factory, gonna regear eventually but in no rush) and I had an offer on it a couple weeks ago which I was considering until the SC came along. Tired of the wimpy 3.8 was gonna sell and buy a 2012 with the 3.6 to solve my power issue. My rigs dialed in and I really didn't wanna start over. I love buildin em but I'm currently working on my wife's 2013 JKU and would rather not juggle jeeps lol.

Stick or Auto??? We have a 2010 JKU with the 4:10 on it and we are running 35's. I will eventually go to a 4:88 on it cause the amount of torque on the low end. When he retuned his Jeep to stock it released the VIN (at least it should have). if you have to modify the tune you will need to contact Jon at RPM

Mine out of the blue is running like udder shit. Sounds like gravel in my block under acceleration. She has been running beautifully the last couple months. Thought it was bad fuel but i just added a fresh tank of 94. Still sounds like shit. Havent touched the motor besides an oil change.

Sprintex hasnt answered me. I think they're going tits up.

Just took my SC off and checked everything. All looks good. Seals are all in place, clamps were tight etc etc. only thing i can think is a bad map sensor under certain load. If im in OD and try to pass ( something easy last week ) the jeep rattles. Spark knock or bad map sensor. Under light acceleration and heavyish accel, its fine. Pulls great with lots of power otherwise. Im pretty stumped.
