Maybe he works for them and is trying to figure out why their sales suck relative to other brands? Wouldn't surprise me. They couldn't try harder to not sell wheels. Nothing against them, but having looked at them, it was obvious they missed the business 101 class. That said, they do add value. Someone smart makes a good product and then someone business smart copies it and sells a crap ton.

Hey not anything odd, I was really into Jeeps in the mid 90's. Just got a new Rubicon and wanting to really trick it out and just want to bounce things
off people in the sport currently. I do not want to buy a bunch of junk. I really appreciate the feedback!

Roger that. I was just curious why you started threads on multiple forums and then haven't responded in any of them. Like the other one you started on here haha

They are both owned by the same parent company...

Ok. Now that makes sense. Didn't know that.

When did Spyderlock sell out to the corporate conglomerate? I thought they were independent this whole time. Who's the parent company btw?

Wheel Pros is the parent. They were always part of the conglomerate but that is a very long story.

When i talked to spyderlock front desk agent (AJ) she told me that spyderlock makes the wheel for ATX and ATX supplies their own lock ring and resells the combo under ATX brand.

To me, the atx lock ring just looks like a spyderlock ring with the spider part machined out and the ring thinned just a bit. Still very beafy and easier to balance and clean out. Also dont have the concern of the spider part hitting a rock and knocking the wheel out of balance which forces u to replace the ring on spyderlocks.

The look of spyderlocks however, is fantastic. I love mine. I just gotta take them back apart and clock the ring to the wheel when i add the balance beads. I was in a hurry and didnt pay attention to the clocking which ATX doesnt have to do.

Now I'm curious....and I'm not not knocking spyderlock or atx in anyway since everyone I know to have used either of them liked / didn't have any issues running them....on the cast wheel itself for those who purchase atx slabs, does it say made in China or made in USA?

I'm assuming the cast wheel for those who buy spyderlocks directly say made in the USA.
