Staun Bead Locks - installed
I bought DadsCJ's old CJ last year, and wanted to confirm his position on the Stauns.
I ripped the outer valve stem clear off the rim on the top of Helicopter Pad at the Tellico ORV area in March. Since I had left the spare tire at the cabin, a solid 90 minutes away, I chose to test the bead locks. I drove down Helicopter Pad and Gaurdrail (bypasses but still quite Hairy at 0 PSI). Drove all the way back to the cabin, and never broke the bead, or even hit the rim. The Staun's do act like a run flat, and saved my group hours of time. In retrospect, I would have probably continued to wheel that day had I known how great those beadlocks worked.

Did you figure out the problem with the timing and the EFI setting?

Glad you are wheelling the crap out of the old beast!
