Default Steerbox Leak

Well gents, my steering box is shot I believe but I'm not sure. Here are the symptoms:
-Redish Oil all over the pitman arm, drag link, track bar and towards the fire wall.
-Power steering fluid was low and making the grinding sound
-added atf+4 and the sound stopped

So if it's time to replace/upgrade the box what are my options? All I know of is
-dura last (probably garbage) box from autozone
-take it to the dealer
-Redneck ram?
-west Texas off road rebuild?
-PSC?

Can somebody knowledgable of this explain the pros and cons with advice as to what they would do and why, please?
I run 35s now but plan to jump to 37s when they wear out.

Thanks!

I am just starting to look at this also. My 08 box is seeping (not really leaking yet). For now my plan is to send it to WTO for a rebuild, then at some future point I will look more closely at a few of the DIY ram kits several of the guys here have posted. I figure the box will already be set up for it, and that might save me some coin over the full redneck kit.

How long can you go with your jeep being immobile?

Well... Without getting insurance involved, 4 days. If I claim insurance, quite a while. USAA gave me a rental for about 3 weeks when I wrecked my mustang.

Do you want to go to hydro assist? What's your budget?

A rebuild at WTO (with shipping both ways) will take longer than the 4 days. But in the notes for the stage 3 kit, it indicates that they offer new boxes with core charges on your broke ones. That may be an option to look into.

They didn't have any boxes when I did mine a month back so I had to send mine out (stage 2). If you send it to them for a rebuild you may as well have them tap it while they already have it apart.

I figured if I rip the box out I might as well go hydro. Could somebody explain the stages and what they're tapping it for?

If you only have 4 days max you're going to need to buy a new box. How much can you comfortably spend on getter hydro done? How much of the work can you do yourself?
