Which Steering Stabilizer?
Hey all-
My steering stabilizer blew and I'd like your suggestions which to get. Please spare me the 'you dont need it' posts, thanks.
Budget is around $150 and that gives me quite a few choices, and the ones I've been look at are:
- Fox Single - Do I need to purchase the Fox bracket to make this work, or can I make this work with the Woods reloc kit only?
- RC Dual - read about the subpar quality of the mounting brackets
- Skyjacker Dual - have not found any reviews about this yet.
I have a 2.5" with 35's on soft 8's (heavy) currently, but will be moving up to a 3" coil lift in the near future and perhaps 37's once my 35's run out. But I definitely need something right now because it's quite hairy to drive my truck around town.
thanks!

I think it basically comes down to what you think looks best. It is a visible part and all do a similar job of keeping bump steer in check. Having a black JK I chose the silver and black RC one.
I got the Teraflex to replace my bent stock. It's about 50% beefier than stock, and it fits nicely with the Woods relocation bracket (some after-market SSs don't). I know what you said, but regarding duals: You don't need them. Spend the money on the TF and the Woods bracket and I bet you have a little pocket change.
BTW: If you haven't read it, there's some great info here on SS:

Thanks for the link.
I did the DIY alignment authored by WOL and while it worked great at first, the ride and handling characteristics degraded over time so I decided to bite the bullet and bring it in for a 'real' alignment thinking that something was off kilter with the alignemtn. And that's when the tech realized that the stock SS was trashed.
My alignment was within tolerance, though I could probably use a new rear trackbar. Anyways he aligned the jeep to spec and I had to plead with him to add 1/8" toe.
What's the difference between single and dual setups besides the obvious fact that there's two of em?

Ryanc... the steering stabilizer you bought from Dave is it the white one on his site?
Could you tell any difference between the stock steering stabilizer and your new one from Northridge?
Why did you choose the QA1? stabilizer over the Tereflex? Just curious.
