Could you tell any difference between the stock steering stabilizer and your new one from Northridge?

Why did you choose the QA1? stabilizer over the Tereflex? Just curious.
The QA1 steering stabilizer is white, as for the one on the site, I am not 100% positive on that. The difference between the stock and this thing is 10000% difference. I had the teraflex but blew it up. I have the front JKS front track bar brace and this is the best SS for that set up because of the spherical bushings. I have run the T flex, stock and now this, this is the best I have run so far.

The best thing you can do is to get a relocation bracket from Woods, and add on the OME, Teraflex, or any other heavier duty stabilizer. You want the barket to keep it up and out of the way. If you just keep using the sock braket and upgrade the stabilizer you will probably bend it, or smash it after a few trips off-road.

Or use the JKS front track bar bracket, whick kills a couple birds with one stone. Reinforces the front track bar brace, lifts the SS out of harms way, slighty trusses the passenger side of the axle, and reinforces the right control arm bracket.

It is better, but it would probably push him over his $150 limit since it is $87 more (comparing shipped against Northridge).

If it's *that* good and I'm killing two (or more) birds with one stone, $87 is a drop in the bucket when it comes to piece of mind.

Trust me, it gives you piece of mind. You break that front track bar bracket doing highway speeds you will be in a world of shit.

I got a Black Diamond, it comes with a re-location bracket for about 70 bucks (whole kit), very beefy and works great.

Checked your signature and profile, but didn't find that you have much to align on your Jeep. If you don't have adjustable control arms, what did the mechanic align?

Obviously, you need a new SS because your old one is damaged. But, if you're looking to find that nice, stock steering feel, a SS isn't going to get it for you--single or duals. I felt NO change in my steering feel after replacing the stock SS. I replaced it only because my stocker was bent. I decided on Teraflex because it is beefier, so my expectation is that it won't bend from the wheeling I do.

But, what you probably need to get rid of flighty steering, if that's what your problem really is, is to adjust your front caster (Stock it's 4.2° and not adjustable. Ideally, you want 6-7°). That will take front lower control arms (or cams, but don't let the mechanic do that--easily lose alignment when the Jeep is wheeled and cams can't be easily removed once installed!). For me, I put Teraflex LCAs on the front and reset the caster and THAT made a world of difference! For you, flighty steering should be an even bigger problem because your tires are bigger (35s vs 33s).
