Default Steering stabilizer?

Is a better aftermarket stabilizer worth doing on a lifted jk with 35's? I've heard they make a noticeable difference in the feel. Just wondering what other people have found to be the case with them.

Going from stock to a much larger SkyJacker on my TJ made zero difference. They are all valved 50/50 so it's not like one is tuned better.

I just personally wouldn't spend money on that, use it for something more useful.

Thanks, I kinda figured that this upgrade was snake oil.

Wait until you lose the stock SS. But, if you don't re-locate, plan on mangling it and replacing anyway.

I changed mine when the original unit started leaving its fluid all over the place. I put a aftermarket one on which is a little beefier but I cannot really notice a huge difference accept it does not leak its fluid everywhere. BTW, the stock one made it about 3 yrs and about 5 days, just out of warranty...

I don't expect the skinny steering stabilizer to last very long when I am running 12.50 wide tires. I upgraded mine to a Teraflex one on both my other JK's and will probably get another one when the stock one pukes and dies. The Bilstein SS looks nice though...
