Default Steering Stabilizer Resistance

I've searched but it's way too much info, and not really what I'm looking for. My question is how much resistance should a steering stabilizer have?

The Back Story:
Long story, a while back I put OME shocks on my jeep and ?Bump-steer? issues, or when i hit a mild bump that spans across both front tires my steering would wobble quite a bit. Not just lightly "move or bump" in whatever direction, but would shake from about 10-2 several times. So I put my RC shocks back on today and that problem seems have completely gone away. I hear a lot of talk about geometry and so on. I had ZERO problems before the OME shocks, and now ZERO after the RC's are back on, and I drove over the areas that would always cause this problem. Since I was working on the jeep already, I unbolted the SS after putting the RC shocks back on and I'm not sure it really does anything for me. It is very non-resistant, kinda like it a post that moves back and forth with no resistance.

My real question is how much resistance should the steering stabilizer have? Like a normal shock, or much much less? I don't have the previous mentioned issue now, but I will replace it if it's worn.

Thank you for any valuable input.

I'd need a push pull gage for real numbers but not nearly as stong as a shock far as I can tell.(manually compressing both)
