Default Steering stabilizers?

Worth the money for a tighter front end or just a waste of money?

If your stock one isn't damaged, I wouldn't bother. You won't notice a difference.

Not having one on will let you know how bad your DW really is. And yes. They pretty much are junk

Isn't "bump steer" caused by misaligned track bar and drag link?

I've heard that if everything is in good shape that a steering stabilizer isn't even necessary and I was skeptical but I took mine off for a week and the jeep drove exactly the same. Couldn't tell at all.

This pretty much.
My 2.5'' came with a steering stabilizer and honestly I didnt even feel a difference. Although it sits a bit higher so it wont get damaged.

The steering stabilizer will only mask premature wear.

If your front end is tight and the rig is set up properly you do not need a steering stabilizer. We haven't had one since we bent it into a U along with the stock tie rod.

There's a reason for the steering stabilizer. Manufacturers would be happy to reduce the number of parts, rather than install unnecessary ones. It isn't supposed to make a difference or be felt -- until the day you're happy it was there.
Yes, it may mask problems.

Hey guys,
I have had a stock stabilizer on mine and just switched it out to the rough country dual yesterday and was only able to use one side due to my Rubicon Express drag link but it helped tremendously on the bump steer for the 35's.
I am trying to figure out how to get that second one on there without loosing my aftermarket drag link because that helped as well.
The stabilizer is very important if you take it off and you already have one you will see how much it helps. Also it will affect your tire wear if not working correctly just like a shock will.
