By reading other posts here, I found that steering stabilizers don't do very much. My stock steering stabilizer also broke. I replaced it with the cheapest one I could find, which happened to be the SkyJacker. I also installed the Woods Steering Stabilizer relocation bracket.

TeraFlex SS is great and cheap - dont waste a lot of money on an SS, they can break easily and they are all about the same quality if you ask me.

I just went with the TeraFlex one. It is a little beefier than the stock one and tightened up the feel of the steering a little. I am happy with it. Still need to get a relocation bracket though.

Stay away from Supercrap. It won't even hold up as long as OEM.

Bumping this thread...

I just ordered the TF stabilizer. Glad I read this thread and went with TF vs Superlift.

I ordered this b/c after my tires/wheels were installed, I began to experience a little shimmy in the steering wheel. It only happens if I hit a bump or pothole at slower speeds. I've had the lift for months with no issues what so ever, and I did not experience the shimmy until the day the tires were on. At highway speeds, there is no noticable shimmy or death wobble.

You guys think the stabilizer will help with my described issue?

When you all say your stock stabilizer was broken, do you mean broken in half or that the shock no longer dampens?

Thanks!!!

Depends on what you use your JK for. I used the RCX dual i like it. You running larger tires you should run a higher quality one and if you wheel much i.e rocks and mud you should definitely get relocation bracket.
