Default Steering wheel issue

Lift is done, alignment is done (myself, always done them myself).

after centering the steering wheel, tightening everything down, it will stay straight for a couple days then get off center. I have re-centered it 2 more times and get the same result a couple days later. Funny thing is that it gets to one point and never gets worse.

Any ideas?

For what it is worth. I recently flipped my steering stablizer from under the tie rod to over the tie rod. In the process, I had to unhook the trackbar from the axle. Once finished, I had to adjusted my steering wheel. Now, I've noticed it is not quite right again. Since the only major change I made was to disconnect and then reconnect my track bar, I am hoping that is where the problem lies. I have actually been waiting for Thursday, (when I have time) to check it out and make sure it is tight. You might give that a look.

Sounds like a good place to start. Have you noticed any "flighty" steering? Seems like if it was loose you would notice some steering issues.

Yall are thinking the same way I was.

Track bar is adjustable and is tight and hasn't loosened at all since I installed the lift.

Every thing else is fine. Steering is fine, just the wheel is off no matter how many times I center it.

Default Off Center Steering wheel

I don't know if this will help but I took mine into 4X4 parts to have a new track bar installed and an allignment. All was OK when I left but the steering wheel soon began to drift off center. Got the famous ESP light. I took it back and they told me that they had a new service sheet from Jeep that said when alligning and centering the steering wheel the wheels had to be off the ground. They redid it and I haven't had any trouble for a month now.

get the woods steering stabilizer bracket
as this item will shore up and prevent the trackbar from moving 1 to 5 millimeters with in the stock axle bracket
even torquing it down 20PSI over stock seems to help to ya jar the wheel but once i put on the woods SS relocation bracket it holds everything firm

I remember reading that someone on here had this problem but I can't find it when searching.

I hear ya on the Woods relo bracket however I'm wondering if there are other options.

Has anyone had this problem and found a different solution?
