stepped up to 35"s and now...
Definitely time to regear this beast. My question is... with my two door and 4.88 gears, should I expect to have a gain or loss in mpg? I have been cruising around town at about 16 mpg since the swap.
I will post pics whenever I check this thread tomorrow!

Oh man, have we opened a can worms.......
On my 2011 2 door auto with 5.13's and 35's, I got 18 city and 20 at 70 MPH. At 75 I got 16 and at 80 I got 12.
RPM's aren't bad at 2500-2600 at 75. But the acceleration from a stop to 70 was impressive.
Now I have a 2013 JKU auto on 35's and no comparison, this thing is awesome.

more like 15!The higher gears you go, the better mpg you'll get in the low rpms. So if you do city driving, this is ideal. If you do alot of highway driving, it's gonna bend you over and well... You get the picture
What's your gearing? I have stock 3.73 gearing running 35 mts and I get 15.

I originally wanted 5:13's but everyone said the 4:88's are the perfect gear for tall 33's. Bullshit....! My JK's transmission still downshifts with every grade I come to. I had 35's in mind for my next tires but that is not going to happen. I believe the 5:13's are better suited for the heavy and larger 35's with a 3.8 and automatic. Good Luck.
