I added higher rate of springs on my JK from 14/55 to 18/59's with TF leveling puck kit. I am very pleased with it after adding Warn Rock Crawler Stubby and Engo E9000 winch. You can get buy with either adding spacers in front or high rate like mentioned...depending on your rate now. If you have 16 or 17's in front I would not waste your time changing out and go a different route.

Default can i get away with adding 18s up front

to replace my 15s up front now and leave the rears seeing no added weight there I believe mine were 15 /56 but I know nothing more than that I was thinking of buying two 18 springs from a dealer even and tossing them up front after I add the front bumper and leave rears 56 instead of 58s or 59 or does it have to all be done not just fronts like can I have 18/ 56 or does it have to be 18 /59
lets say it sagged 1/2 to 3/4 with no winch and a full inch or so with the winch would rear springs have to be changed just cuz I went to 18s up front ?

Springs can be had for cheap on the forum. I would change all around and add Rubi shocks to help the ride. Very easy to work on. I am also running Rubi 255's. Next to stockers like mine.

If you're planning on a lift later, just add a spacer for now. The spacer will give EXACTLY the measured height you want. Changing the springs could turn out higher or lower than you are looking for. Once you get your new lift you can sell the spacers or use them to fine tune the amount of lift you want with your new set up.

his looks great with the 18/59s and a leveling kit though mines a rubicon anyway so shocks are not needed but I don't see a lift in my future but putting new springs all around is a lift basicly maybe ill run across some grrat deal on the springs they are usualy on a jku with to package right? as far as lift goes I realy don't want a big lift with 33 nitto trail grapplers 285/70 /16 are only 31 &/3/4 inch actual height I think then id be to high for my smaller tires I don't need to go buy 1700 in wheels and tires again cuz I lifted to high for what I already have you know ! ill be adding my bumper in spring I guess ill be deciding exactly what to do then grrrrrrr not looking forward to the chasing gremlins you know ! id have gone bigger in tire size if I hadn't already had them shipped then finding out actual inflated height of their tire was 31+ so realy I float back and forth between my stock 32 and my nitto trails in summer with out any big deal ! the guy woth the silver sports looks very much to where id want anyway I don't plan on climbing way up to get in to my ride when the axles stay at the same height basicly with a lift . as your aware of already . I know tire height get you up a bit more but you still have your pumkin exposed to stuff I never realy got the idea of the lifts lol I haD a 6 inch lift on my truck and the dam axle got hung up the same as if I hadn't got a lift at all Click image for larger version

ID:	519808 those were 35 km2s I didn't care for those tires sucked in mud and ice and rain leaving only good for tar and then that wears them out fast lol btw it was a ford so tires got chewed up pretty fast anyway ! this time I chose jeep and now I miss my truck in some ways lol no way around it you need a chacer trailer owning a jeep , then your buying for the trailer and the jeep to make it all look ok ! grrr oh one more thing never by a skyjacker lift with their shocks their shocks suck royaly they rot out in 6 months if your near salt
