Default Stock Bumper Stubby Mod

I know that this has beat to death but I had to share...

My stinger in on its way but I could no longer look at the stock bumper as it sat covering the front of my tires.. Knowing I only had two weeks until the new metal came in, I could live with it if my theory was wrong.. But I wasn't..

I have seen everyone just cut the ends off and either buy caps, leave the cut exposed, or just fabricate a flat cap to cover the ends.. I just knew that I could make two cuts and have a clean cap made from the stock bumper,,,, and I was right...

Could you post more pics of the steps you took from start to finish?

Didn't really document it all that much honestly.. I eyeballed a distance from the end and used a 4" grinder with a cut off wheel to make the cap part.. I then took a reciprocating saw and eyeballed about 2" outside the frame bump outs.. I then shoved the ends into the cut part until they looked even, marked them, applied epoxy and shoved them back in.. It was super easy.. The caps did require a little grinder "fitting" on the backside, but it was obvious once your there. PM me and I will text you some pics and be available to answer questions if you have any.. Good luck bud..
