Stock E-Lockers and Diff covers Question
I just got my SOLID F&R D44 covers in yesterday and when I opened the box they had a nice little piece of paper saying I needed to grind and modify the inside of my covers to compensate for factory e-locker clearance.....
I complied with grinding .4" of metal on the inside of the fill plug, but when I checked the clearances against my stock covers (by sliding them around until they knocked when pressed onto the housing) there was no difference...
I'm guessing this is because the lockers weren't engaged
but I have no idea.
Before I test out the locker clearance by engaging the lockers, does anyone have a warning about e-locker clearance? I don't want to royally F-up my diff.
(I'll have a full write up on install after the fronts are on tonight)

yeah, its not much. I was at Solid when they were testing things out.
On my first JK, we actually filed down part of the black plastic on the locker. But I dont think people would be to thrilled on that idea. So they went with this
