Unfortunately no write up. I just looked at the other write ups and finally just jumped in head first.

I did buy an extra front bumper off Craigslist. This made it a little easier on my nerves.
1. Layed out my cut with painters tape to get the look I wanted.
2. Then cut one side of the plastic to the width and made measurements and transferred them to the other side.
3. Placed the cut plastic over the metal bumper to see how much I needed to remove. (I didn't got as narrow as some due to wanting to use the same bolt holes)
4. Made a template out of cardboard. Allowing about a half inch of overhang.
5. Cut out new sides from Rubbermaid tub.
6. Used soldering iron to basically stitch the sections together.
7. Used dremel with sanding wheel to smooth out edges.
8. Sprayed with texture to provide even surface and smooth edges more.
9. Then bedlined the whole thing.

I'd be more than happy to answer any questions. Just pm me

Thanks for the info guys, but I don't want to melt the plastic. I was hoping somebody had used some glue or epoxy to attach the ends. I've search several times, but haven't found anyone who has done it.

I read a thread where someone used exopy and said it help up fine. I bought some epoxy just waiting on the weather to warm up before jumping in.. are you going to do the rear bumper too? I think it looks sweet.

IDK? I probably going to buy a aftermarket bumper and tire carrier once my stock BFG'S are spent because I'm gonna go with 35's.

You can also pick up a plastic "welder" from Harbor Freight. Works on same principles as above...melts the plastic together.
