Default Studded TrXus MTs?

Does anyone know if the TrXus MT can be studded?

Thanks!

Well, if a tire isn't pinned for studs, it doesn't mean you can't drill and stud it anyway... Of course, you probably want to place the studs where there's no siping around it, and the TrXus has quite a bit of siping (for an MT tire). I guess I was pulling at straws here anyway. Finding a 33x11.5" 10 ply studdable MT tire with siping is rather difficult. The best I've found so far is the Toyo M-55. Not exactly what you'd call a good looking tire though.

Thanks!

Hmmm. Without studs, they're supposed to be so-so in snow and crap on ice. This would lead me to believe the studs are meant to compensate for a weakness (hard rubber in cold weather? ), not enhance an existing capability. They're also 2 ply, although granted some 2 plys are tougher than some 3 plys, but still... And did I read that they're unidirectional as well? It would surprise me, but I guess anything is possible. They're certainly better looking than the M55 though.

Thanks!

My girlfriend run Procomp Mt last winter without stud between St-Jean sur Richelieu and Marieville, she have no problem and like it more than is MTR.
And she dont get the highway ... she take the small road, always icy and snowy.

but for myself, a winter, is a winter tire.
