Only real "Pro" will be 1" more gound clearance under the Diff's

Con's: Reduced braking, loss of power due to your 3:73 and auto tranny, increased stress on your axles........

I guess you should consider where you live and when you drive it. I'm in canada and i know with the guys here the bigger the tires get in width, the worse they handle in the snow/ice. That's something to consider. And the mileage. If its your daily with seldom off road action, you might want to keep them smaller. But then again its hard to say no to getting some big badass tires lol. Its all your own preference.

It's hard to say because I live in flat ass Florida and go to school in hilly as fuck NY. It is hard as hell to say no to some huge tires lol but I think I might have to put it off for a while.

Running underpowered from NY to Orlando and back 6 times a year doesn't sound too fun.

I run 35's and 4.10's and can't imagine making a trip like that, 3.73's would be terrible. I would save for gears according to the tire size you want and leave it for now

Not directly related to your question but I thought I would add this.

My basketball coach used to say ... "Guys, there is NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION! Only stupid people who ask questions. Now what were you asking?"

I think you would be much happier with 5:13 instead of 4:88 if you want to run 37's.

I went from 31"(stock sport tires) to 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers with Moto Metal wheels. Each wheel/tire combo was 50# heavier than stock. I was sureprised a how bad the Jeep runs now (auto, 3.73)! I spent a lot of time/money on power mods thinking I would be ok for a while. Went from a great running JK to one that downshifts out of od whenever a gust of wind comes up.

Keep the overdrive off. And a Superchips tuner will help as well as the obvious re-gear to 4.88's or 5.13's
