Why would anyone care if they blow the motor? Thats what the warranty is for...pull the blower off and bring it in for service...Isn't that the whole point of the lifetime powertrain warranty. So maybe it would suck if you blew it up far from home..and had to pay for a tow home to bring it back to stock trim...but worth it in the end.

I dunno maybe it's just me...but I always like to push things to the limit. If it breaks I always seem to figure out how not to pay for it lol.

It's obvious you have never driven a car with a roots supercharger. My 04 Cobra was my DD and any time I punched it, the boost was maxed out from the get. That is the beauty of them.

It's thinking like that that makes warranty claims so tough to get paid.

Well get behind the wheel of the rest of them and give us an opinion on them all. You've already done 25% might as well finish it up!

I'm really thinking I want one of these now, just a matter of deciding which one will work the best with our JK's reliably and not blow it up in 10k miles.

Sponsor or not, I like the fact that Ripp is on various forums answering questions, etc (even when attacked pretty good about not having shown any lower RPM numbers on their graphs). I wish the other companies would start posting more information as well so anyone truly interested in doing this can make the most well informed decision possible as it's a fairly pricey mod.

Not to mention that some of us with 07s were in JKs before Chrysler started the lifetime warranty, so blowing up the engine IS a concern for me. For the next 2 years a hemi is out of the price range, but a 5k super charger works with my budget, but not if it's going to destroy my engine.

The performance was poor at best, seemed to make a bit more torque but acceleration was poor. When you would romp on it, it seemed to twist up a lot of RPM but didn't feel any quicker than my JK with the Hypertech, CAI & muffler.

Requires a hood scoop? Hmm, that'd be an awful waste of the AEV hood that's arriving tomorrow on top of not performing all that great.

Luigi you need to get behind the wheel of the Ripp Mods JK and see how it compares.
