Someone should do a Cummins or Duramax drop in.

That is the ONLY swap i would consider.

From previous threads on it, they are just too big to fit under the JK's hood. The only non-factory (European) one that I have seen was built on a cut down non-jk frame, and they had to cut out the firewall to fit the JK body on it. (been a long while since I saw the thread, my facts could be in error...)

I believe you are right. They dropped a four door JK on a Ram Chassis or something like that.

I geuss im wating for the (i believe) 4.7 diesel dodge is bring out in a few years for their 1500 ram.
