Default I have

the Hesco supercharger. All in all I am satisified but if you have the auto you may have to use their computer reprogram. I have changed my gears to 4.88 and have not reprogramed computer yet. Every so often I get the Lighting bolt light and then you have turn car off and restart. Goes into limp mode.

Uh, there is that slight matter of a substantial difference in price. Are you gonna write the check for me? Nah, didn't think so. I'd agree that the Hemi is a great way to go but I just can't justify the cost.

well.....don't try to justify the price of a SC either...it ain't worth it...if you've got the money for a SC then your halfway to the price of a DIY HEMI install

Did you do the Hemi install yourself? And if so what did it cost you. 5K for the AEV kit, the cost of the Hemi and the trans ( I hear as low as 1500 each for used on up to a lot more new - around 3500 each) plus various other parts needed (listed as additional parts needed by AEV but not included in the kit) that can cost up to 8k I'm told.

So bottom line, what is the best case for a DIY Hemi cost. Can it actually be done fo 10K? 5k and a few hours for a SC isn't bad.

You're right, I'm not going to write the check. However, I would be willing to let you drive mine so you can see the difference yourself.

Oh, you're in Colorado. Well, maybe someone out there will let you drive theirs before you pull the trigger.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to make it to GA any time soon. Maybe at EJS I will eome across a Hemi JK i can drive. I will certainly agree that the Hemi is a great way to go; and if the daughter unit was finished with college I might just drop the dollars. There is the matter of cost. Can one be done for 10k or is 15k more realistic?

I meant you should drive a supercharged jeep before you buy one. I just don't think you will be happy with it based on the weight you've added to your rig.
