You were on the Superchips website, the site that lists all of the functions of the Flashpaq, but you want to know what all it can do??

You might go back to that site and read some more, there is even a forum there for a lot more info.

A butt-o-meter is the 'feeling' of the performance gains, as opposed to throwing it on a dyno for actual before and after numbers of the gains.

The Superchip Flashpaq is not really a "chip" so to speak like a few are. Witha chip, when you plug it in, that's it........you get what you get. The flashpaq is a programmer. It has many features that you should have seen on their website. And yes, it adjusts the speedo for different tires.

As stated, butt-o-meter means the "feeling" you get as to if a mod is actually doing anything or not. A "seat-of- the pants feeling" rather than actually knowing/seeing for sure what the mod did.

And just so you know.........there are thousands that love their Superchip flashpaqs. I, for sure, am one of them.....

u can reprogram computer for your driving needs, 87 octane performance, 91 octane performance, towing, gas mileage, offroad. Takes about 5 min to reprogram. If u change tires size or gear ratio's, u can input new sizes so your speedo and computer are right, change your tps settings for usually a lower tire presure. The biggest thing for me is the tranny changes. I have an auto with 3.73 gears and 33's on, the 87 octane tune with tranny settings gave my jeep a whole new feel. Feels sort of sporty now instead of the mushy feel on the gas that i had, had to push almost to the floor to get what i was looking for. Now at the start of a hill or with just a tiny move of the foot the tranny locks up and/or gears down just when u want it to. A few extra hp and torque and a nice fuel economy boost makes this one of my favorite upgrades to date, its a win win.

Be aware, however, it doesn't do wonders for everyone. Yes, you can reprogram the computer to accomidate a tire or gear change, TPMS pressure settings, (all of these a dealer will do at no charge) shift points, and a few other things if you need them, but it did nothing for the mpgs for me. All settings yield 14-15 mpg or about the same as the stock setting after tire size and gear corrections. I don't need anymore power than the stock setting, so all of the others don't mean much to me. I'm probably the only one that wishes he had spent his money on something else.

When my dealer installed the 513 gears, he lowered the TPMS to 22#s and adjusted for the 34" tires at no charge. If fact, he set it to a 34" diameter which showed a faster speed than the GPS and I had to reflash it to 32.5" to get the correct speedo reading. My dealer is probably a little different than most, as he said he will warrantee everything after the lift and gear change except the gears I supplied. When I had the 410 gears, I tried the 87 octane setting and the mileage was over 17 with just highway only and dropped to 15.5 after the 513 gears. But, after the gear change, the mile saver setting is all the power I need. As I said before, the mpg is the same with all of the settings. If I didn't have an accomodating dealer, the superchip would have been necessary, or if I had stayed with 410 gears it would have been needed for a little extra performance. I'll keep it for now and see if I need it for the 6 months we spend in AZ at higher altitudes. I might try the crawling mode then and see what difference it makes.

A dealer can't change your tire size beyond 32".

A dealer can't change your gear set in the PCM beyond 4.10.

A dealer can't/won't turn your TPMS off and they won't reduce it below 26lbs.

A dealer may charge for making the changes to the PCM and often will charge $75 or more for PCM reprogramming.

If it didn't work for you, you are definitely in the minority. Most report fuel mileage increases, but most see any increases in fuel mileage as a bonus and not the reason they bought the programmer. If you didn't want the additional power an AEV ProCal would have been a better call.

Speaking of TPMS, I downloaded the TPMS Disable for my SC off there site and uploaded it to my chip. Where is the option to disable it on my Jeep? I found where you can lower the setting but that doesn't get rid of the notification on the dash. I'm running 35'' tires on my 2 door and have the tire size set to 32.50 on the SC. Can anyone help be find the correct setting to turn off the TPMS?
