Being able to adjust the Engine Fan Temperature is a big plus. I change the Thermostant in the Engine for a 180* F and set the Fan temperature to come on in Medium speed at 195*F and High speed at 205*F Now the Jeep runs cooler and the Transmission Temp is also lower than with the Stock 195*F thermostant.

The fan control is not important for me. It works OK as it is today.
However, a graphic real-time interface is. The Superchip device has a text interface that does not look designed to be used as an auxiliary instrument, which we can easily read while driving. That new device they are promising for sometime later this year seems to be it, but it is too expensive and I already own an Archos media player. If they had some Windows app I could plug on my UMPC it could be a different story.

There's another thread discussing the Bully Dog and shows some results.

I'm curious, since the BD plugs into the obdii port and reads the ecu and sensors, does it have the capability of telling you what code is thrown when the check engine light is on?

Default My SC Finally Came!

My SC finally arrived and I'm all tuned up. The initial setup time took approximately 20 minutes. First I tried the Performance 91 Octane tune and I almost wet my pants. I'm not incontinent and I don't regularly wet myself but I couldn't believe the difference in throttle response and the additional hp. My Jeep finally "woke up".

When I stomp on the gas now the engine sounds pretty mean. I don't know if my ears are playing a trick on me or not... I swear it sounds meaner.

I switched to the 87 tune just to see what the difference would be. I did notice more oomph with the 91 but throttle response was the same. Took approximately 5 min to switch between tunes.

My 2010 JKU Rubi needs the flash for the "o2 slow response monitor" but I wasn't able to get it b/c my VIN wasn't tagged with it yet. My throttle response was sluggish and I was getting annoyed with it. More info here --> https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ade-More-power

Well, now that I have that issue fixed (thanks SC!) I'm really pleased with the tune.

One thing odd I noted when I was reviewing my settings. The SC calibrated the speedo for 30.75" tires. I'm not sure if this was just default but I changed it to 32" (stock Rubi).

One side effect I didn't anticipate; I now want to see real time monitoring. Yeah, if you read my previous post I said I wasn't interested in those metrics. I'm not displeased with SC at all, I'm very happy with the performance gain. Now, I long for more features and info the BD has to offer. Plus the unit looks cool, SC Flashpaq looks pretty weak next to it.

Anyways, good purchase and I can't wait to drive!

Stock tire size, if measured from the ground to the top of the tire is not 32", but more like 30.75" if your tires are new. My stock BFG's were at 30.25" last time I measured them, could be worn even further now.

Ahhhh thanks for clarifying. So the 30.75 would be correct because I only have 2500kms on the Jeep. The tires are brand new 32's with no wear.

I didn't realize you measure tire size after weight is on the tire from ground to top.

Thanks again!!
