Initial impressions are great. Easy install, took about 20-30mins to install to test. Now granted I came from a EFI live tuned 6.0 Silverado so I knew I wasn't expecting that kind of performance but in just the regular tune I noticed a power increase throughout the band all the way up to 70mph (had to slow down was still in town lol)
I didn't try the performance tune as I only have 87oct gas in the tank, but I will report on that later. The coolest thing about the bully dog is the fact I can moniter everything!..speed, rpm, coolant temp, tran temp, maf, intake temp, battery voltage, barometer, buch of other things I cant remember right now. It also has all the options like headlights at unlock/lock, horn at unlock/lock all those stock changable features right there, idler increase, fan control, sway bar unlock, tpms control...more features at bullydog.com. I bought it from truck customizers.com for 354...I'll be working on a long term test and report later

It has an 87 regular/tow tune 91 performance tune an offroad tune that uses the 87 tune but changes the way the throttle reacts( not so sensative more control) and yes it has idle control, increments of 100 rpm

Vivid is also by Superchips. But last I read they will only release in May. I believe I saw the ad in some of the current Superchips dealers websites. Price shown there is around $550.
They claim it is "one ring to rule them all". Plays media files, GPS, etc and runs on an Archos Android media player.

I would really like that Superchips released a Windows version so I would install it on my Viliv S5 UMPC.

I like the fact the Bully Dog lets us monitor several points in real time. I was very close to buy the Superchips, so better wait and see how this one goes. ;-)

That's great new on the transmission temperature monitor! A lot of Superchips users (myself included) are waiting for this on ours. (and waiting, and waiting, and waiting...)

just checked their website. the have two products. one is just a monitor and the other is a monitor/tuner. now on their page for the tuner. there really isnt that much info about it. but thats because they decided to put it on a info sheet thats a pdf link and from what i read on the info sheet it seems to have all the same features that the superchip offers. except that it states that you can lock front and rear lockers in 4lo,4hi and 2wd and the same with edisco. dont know if the S/C does that. havent gotten a tuner yet and was gonna go with the superchip due to limited choices, but it seems like bullydog could get my money. and with the extra features. 50 bucks more aint that bad

sounds good. how do you have it mounted up? my buddy has a bullydog in his cummins and he has a steering column mount. also does it adjust your speedometer like the flashpaq does for larger tires???

i saw some ads (on this website) for the vivid. but havent seen a price. i heard it was in the 500-700 dollar range. I know they are making a app for adroid phone so you dont have to buy the archos with it but i have a blackberry

so far i really like the bullydog and money is leaning towards it.
