If you line up the features, there is a broader list with the Superchips. If you want a touch screen programmer with plenty of user adjustable gauge clusters, the Superchips Vivid. With the Vivid linq you can use your droid OS phone or tablet as the interface for tuning and gauge displays. You can also order the Vivid with a small droid tablet.

I've been a Superchips user for a half dozen years now on both my vehicles. Before the Superchips Flashpaq was available for Jeep I had another brand programmer which I had to really try hard to convince myself it was doing anything. It wasn't even remotely close to what I ad experienced with the Superchips in my truck. I started thinking that there just wasn't much extra power to unearth. Then I got my Superchips and one stomp on the throttle that didn't take any convincing that there was a healthy jolt of unleashed power.

Last thing is the Superchips advanced trans tune for automatics. Fully customizable shift schedules which really transforms the feel of your vehicle. No more bogging down, shifting early or feeling like you need to get out and push before it downshifts. Then the ability to have it hold gear longer under part acceleration. Totally cool stuff, and nobody has it even close to really figured out outside of Superchips.

I really like my bullydog. I believe it is easy to use. I like to be able watch trans temp, turn fan on when needed, use the lockers as needed in 4 hi. But it's my 2 cents. Also I'm just a new-b to my jk

Default Tuner

Gopd thing I still got about another month before I make my purchase... But I think im leaning towards superchips! For performance and also the option to adjust gear ratio...but I also like some of the bd features... Jeeping is just filled with difficult divisions :/

Default Superchips

So much for a month lol, we all know how addicting jeeping is...

I JUST got my superchips in yesterday... Got in used, MINT condition, only used once for 150$ off retail price! momma didnt raise no fool!

I'll tell you what... I have no experience with BD, and it looks like a great product... but i Felt the jeep performance improvement with Superchips from the second I reversed out of the parking space after installing! Makes driving, SO much better, I can definately tell a difference in shifting, hp, and torque! I just havent had a change to experiment much with fuel economy

Is anyone other than me having a pinging problem with the BullyDog tuner? I've got a 2008 JKU Rubicon with a 6 speed. I've tried disconnecting/ reconnecting the batteries and letting the ECU "relearn" again while driving. But it still wants to ping badly at low RPM's. I'm running 87 octane and the lowest setting in the tuner. I'm so frustrated now that I've returned it back to stock, which it now runs normally again. Any thoughts?

Mine is not pinging, but after a few BD software updates I feel my Jeep's performance is the same no matter I return it to stock or use the tow/performance tune. Also, fuel economy that used to be nice is down. I am giving a break on the second because I installed a LoD full width bumper and a winch but still have my doubts those two would account for a decrease of 4mpg in fuel economy. So, lately I have been using it mostly as a display for the engine parameters I want to monitor.

I am waiting for Superchips to fix the new Vivid's display scaling on large screens. I want to only buy the software to use on my Acer A100 instead of buying the whole thing. Then will probably migrate to SC.

Try running the next octane up from the tune you are running and see if it helps. Also I recommend running a cleaner to help with carbon deposits which can cause pinging. Start with a fuel system cleaner like seafoam, then Chrysler combustion cleaner, which goes directly in the throttle body. Doing this helped with my pinging

I ran it around today after removing the BullyDog program and not a hint of pinging. Power and performance really seems to be the same as stock. Is it possible that too much timing written into the performance tune is the problem?

Yes, advancing the timing too much can cause pinging. The thing is, engines actually make the most power when they are on the verge of pinging. It is a very fine line, and issues such as carboned up valves can put it over the edge
