Default Superchips flashcal

Amazing product!! I wasn't looking for performance because coming from a 430whp car I know I wouldn't get that in a jeep but I upgraded my wheels to a 33.3 (295/70/17) and at 65mph my rpms were in the 2300-2400 range and mpg was 16 and lower, installed the programmer yesterday to 33.25" tires and took it out for a drive at 65mph my rpm is 1900-2000 and gas milage is 22.5-24.0 highly recommended if you don't have one. Superchips also has on their website site that if you did want to go the other tune routes then you can buy the flashpaq for I think it said 179$ and still just the same flashcal. So if your iffy on getting one pay the 144$ like I did and you can always upgrade.

Is your jeep a stick or auto? I'm thinking performance gains would be less on a stick... I have a 12 with a manual trans.

No, just no.

I'd try again calculating by hand. Even with a good tail wind, a Sport model, 16" steelies with those donut tires, and a slight decent you won't see 24mpg.

Have you compared your speedo reading with a handheld GPS speed reading? Reason I ask is even though you set the programmer for 33.25" it might still need further adjustment. Is the tire 33.25" measured on the Jeep from the ground to the top of the tire or is that the measurement of the tire before putting it on the Jeep? I have 35" tires but had to set my Procal at 33.75 because that is how tall the tire is as it sits on the Jeep on the ground. I checked my speedo with a handheld and they are as close as I could get it.
Before I used the Procal I was using my handheld and I could see at 65 my speedo was showing 5mph slow. The RPM at 65 (using the handheld to see true speed) is still the same as it was before the Procal.

Before the flashcal at 55mph I was actually doing 56-57mph on a speedometer app off my iphone So it wasn't off by much.

Not to mention I have the 2012 with the 3.6 not the old 3.8 (horrible gas mileage engine)

Wow, the RPM drop is impressive. I just went with 35" on my '13 JKU (automatic) and I dont like how it feels on the highway. I was planning to get a Flashpaq to correct, I think it just moved up my priority list!

As someone else said, yeah, no.
Make sure you triple check your speedo against a solid GPS.
I too have the flashcal, and have BFG AT KO 32" tires, i have to have my flashcal set to 31" tires in order for the speedo to be correct.

I can pretty much guarantee your mileage didn't magically go up when the only thing you did was something that would make it worse (getting bigger tires). The flashcal does nothing in the sense of a tune or performance.

We'll it did so I'm happy. Anytime when you lower your rpm's your going to see it in mpg. Adjusting the tires to 33.25" on the hwy this morning I saw as you can see in the pic 23.5 mpg for a good 15miles of hwy. So looks like it's working for me and the speedometer is correct.
