All the Flashcal does is fix the speedo and tac to show you what you were really getting the whole time, it was just reporting wrong before. You got no increase in anything. The actual RPM's have not been lowered, they are just reporting correctly now. You are not getting anymore MPG that you did before, its just able to complete the calculation now as the tire size has been fixed so the formula now works. Nothing has actually changed, you're just getting the correct reports now.

Ok then how was I showing at 65mph 2300-2400 rpm on the hwy in cruise. Uploaded the flashcal now I show 1900-2000 in 65mph in cruise same spot same drive to work lol. The lower rpms means you will be getting better gas milage cause the engine isn't turning as fast. Also just checked the speed again on base at 25mph it's 25, at 30mph it's 30mph. If anyone wants to come to yorktown va I have no problem showing you my settings lol

Before you programmed it, your speed and rpms were not correct. If it showed 65 mph, you were actually traveling faster than that(70 ish). Now that you programmed it, you are traveling at a true 65 (SLOWER)which would lower your rpms. Your gas mileage probably increased a bit because you are traveling slower now.

Thanks for the report on your experience. I recently switched to 33's and need to get a flashcal to reprogram the speed as well. BlackJK2012JB, I believe you are correct that the rpm has changed. I believe these programmers recalibrate the speedometer which has the affect of changing the shift points. This does indeed affect the rpm's as you had thought.

If I'm not mistaken, the flashcal gives no performanc or gas mileage gains does it? I didn't notice anything different in either category when I installed mine...

I don't have a manual. I have an auto and haven't seen any difference in mileage.
