Superchips flashpaq gas mileage savings spreadsheet!
Good afternoon!
I just ordered the JK Superchips from Northridge, very excited to get it....
I run 32's (stock rubicion rims/tires) in the winter, and 37's and 17" rims the other half of the year.
There's been MANY MANY posts and great reviews on the Superchips Flashpaq.
I've created a spreadsheet that i have shared for you to evaluate the fuel economy savings that the flaspaq can provide (depending on how often you mash the skinny pedal)...
I wanted to justify part of this purchase to my wife, so i created the following document:
http://tinyurl.com/superchipsfuel
It's on Google docs, and it is an Excel 97-2003 format sheet.
Click on the link, and then when it opens, on the upper left select download, and save it to your computer (i.e. your desktop or my documents or whatever)....
Once you've opened it, it's pretty self explanatory: input how many miles you drive/commute daily, cost of gas in your area, and number of days you work. (this will tell you approx how much you spend on gas getting to/from work)
Then the second column will allow you to input the Flashpaq scenario, and see how much you can save. (i used an estimate of 10-20% gas savings based on all the posts I saw)
the second set of data is for those of you that run two sets of tires throughout the year (for gas savings, save wear and tear on your sweet wheelin tires, etc)
It will add it all up for you.
All in, the Superchips pays for itself in less than a year based on my estimates.... (I bought it, so we'll see!)
It made the wife happy to see I created the spreadsheet and at least thought it through.
( I am VERY excited about correcting the speedo, tranny optimization, and most important EXTRA POWER!)
Hope this helps!
Let me know if you have questions/feedback on the spreadsheet; happy to help.
If you see any improvements to be made, let me know and I will correct and repost.

I have mine now for about 4 months now and really like it. Power is noticeable and the way the transmission shifts is different. I have only run the 87 tune, gas mileage has been the same for me.
Good luck!
