Default Superchips Lockout!

So Bring my jeep to the local Jeep dealership to put an inspection sticker on for 2012. The dealership decides to flash my Jeep because of some programing recall having to do with the o2 sensor or some shit. regardless they didn't tell me till after it was done. When i brought it there I was running an 87 performance tune, now when i plug my superchips and it gives me an error message that the program on my Jeep is not the original program and now my programer is useless.

Any information , suggestions, ideas, support would be appreciated . I am putting a TF3" lift and 35/12.5/17 going on next weekend St Paddy's day garage work!!!!!! And I will need the programer for the advanced tune feature.

$#%%#?$ Dealership!

Have you called Superchips? Im not sure how to do it, but Im sure there is a way to get around it. Its too common of a problem for them not to have developed a back up plan, like a hard reset or something. But youll probably have to start from scratch.

OK, this is an easy fix and I'll spare you the scolding for leaving a tune installed when taking your vehicle to the dealer.

Just call Superchips Monday morning, they open at 8am EST, and they will get you taken care of. Have your VIN#, your login information to their site and your Flashpaq serial number available. That will make things go a lot quicker, and I'm sure they'll have you back up and running by the next day.

^^^ I second that. I am out of warranty, but I write down "Do not flash ECU" for ANY service I go to at the dealer.

I don't mind the ECU re-flash as it can often address some issues. Not that I have much occasion to go to the dealer, but recently on my Dodge Ram a re-flash addressed an intermittent issue with the turn signals where the opposite indicators would flash on the trucks exterior. That could be the kind of stuff that can end up killing you, and certainly there are lots of lesser things they can correct. The downside is that I might need to wait a day or two for SC to catch up with the latest version, but that generally means someone else won't need to.

In the future, anytime you go to the dealer for any reason regardless if it's a recall or an oil change, go back to the stock tune and put some miles on it before taking it in to avoid this problem

Thanks guys. I know leaving the tune on was a mistake which i should have realized earlier. It wasn't my dealership just a local one and just wanted an inspection and they flashed it without letting me know. from now on i will take more precautions and i think i will request no ECU work from now on. Superchips will be getting a call tomorrow morning. thanks for the advice. this site ROCKS!

Default Happen to me

Call Superchips they well give you a one time fix. After that you have to pay them to reprogram. So now if I bring my jeep in for anything it goes back to stock.
