Just do the 2.5 budget or 2.5 coil.. DO NOT do the 4' Rancho.. Labor 500$?? This guy is ripping you off big time.. Spend a little time reading some threads on here and you will be all set.. You can install the BB by yourself and it will give you what you need for 35s with little off-roading..

Gusdaddy22, it sounds to me like this guy is trying to make some money off you. From what you described in your original post, a TF budget boost or similar kit would suit your needs and save you a lot of money so you could buy a tire carrier bumper or something else. Don't trust what a lot of shops will tell you. There's a lot of good resources here on the forum. Read up and you'll have a more educated opinion on what to do. I ran the rough country 2.5 suspension lift for a few years and was very happy with ride quality and height. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Don't listen to a shop like that. Teraflex has been selling kits long enough and the people on here know what they are talking about and are not trying to sell you anything, including the TF rep.

Another option would be the TF performance leveling kit, flat fenders, wheel spacers (or wheels with less backspacing).

Just trust the people on here like WOL and you'll be fine. I haven't posted much but I have been a member for several years now and I have learned a lot.

I will be installing the performance leveling kit this weekend with a friend of mine, it has been through this forum that I have gained enough understanding of what is under my jeep that i am ready to take that next step.

Just keep reading and don't let anyone sell you something you don't want or need. It's your money and your jeep.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Cory

My needs are about the same as yours, it's my daily driver and beach rig. I love the look of 35's and flat fenders and thought I needed 2-3"'s of lift. So I went with a bds 3" suspension lift 35's with a 4.5 bs wheel, and bushwacker fenders. Love the ride and look but now i have too much space with the flat fenders.. If I had to do it again would've went with the teraflex self leveling kit and flat fender's. Save your money for other mods....
Just my opinion.

I have the TF 2.5" BB and it's been great on the beach, mud, water and a decent grade obstacle course. The DD I do with it gives me a nice ride. These shops will always try to sell you something different. In my opinion, scrap going back to that shop. The information and guidance you have and will continue to receive on this forum is x100 better than you will get at most shops. You can always upgrade to 19/60 rubi coils and shocks to help offset the weight if you choose the BB over the coil lift and you will find them pretty cheap here on the forum....
