Default Which suspension setup

Hey im trying to decide on a suspension setup for the j. Ive been looking at the 3.5 rubicon express and the 3 full traction. I know there are a lot of factors that go into this so ill give you as much info as possible as to what comes in the future for the jeep. so i guess just give me yalls opinions on the two lifts, ive heard great things about both.
-it is a 2011 2 door sport
-plan on flat fenders
-planning on new bumbers(definitely) and sliders(maybe)
-planning on 17in wheels and 37s
-plan on 513 gears

thanks

Have no experience with either of those lifts but I recommend Rockkrawler. Absolutely can not go wrong.

I would suggest that you get either kit as complete as possible (adjustable trac bars front and rear/control arms upper and lower) this will allow you to fine tune the suspension geometry. Since it is a 2-door you may want double cardan driveshafts front and rear. I have a 3 inch Old Man Emu kit and was only a matter of time til the stock driveshafts crapped out. 5.13's will be good for 37's but the stock front d30 may need some reinforcing aka sleves and gussets, or scrap it for a d44.

As for rocker protection and bumpers. I would just do some searching around on here and see what people are liking on their jk's.

would change your sliders section to a definitely, even if you just pick up some second hand rubi sliders. they are cheap insurance from body damage. i dont know how much offroading you have done in the past or how much you plan to play in the rocks but slider and very very important.
i would recommend the rubicon express. they use radius arms so you may want to look into that and make sure your happy with that setup.

...any reason teraflex is not on ur list?

honestly there arent any specific reasons, ive seen a couple threads around the forrums where people recomend full traction over teraflex. do you prefer teraflex overr the other two?

really its hard to go wrong with any of these brands as they are all great companies with quality products. I like teraflex as iv never rerd a bad thing about them. this is not to say iv herd allot of negative stuff about the other two companies. teraflex is also a very active vendor on the forum so they give really great support to forum members.

i was looking again at ur OP and see you want to run 37s.you may want to consider a 2.5 lift. Im running 37's on teraflexs 2.5 coil lift and 1.25 body lift. this is the setup detailed by plan man.
you may want to look into this as it will save you a bit of cash. it means u most probably wont need DS's and the lift is cheaper. with keeping the lift small suspension geometry is much cheaper to correct and give a stock like ride.

further u need to add gussets and sleeves to your list. if you wheel ur dana 30 will thank you for this.

The only difference between the D30 and D44 is the housing is bigger on the 44. So the shafts are the same size...thus making the need for gussets and sleeves the same for both.

this may be true, im not entirely sure. i do feel that the op could be mis led by your post into thinking that a dana 30 is as conducive to larger tires as a 44 (even though both are not idea).

i think the differences are well documented in this thread
