Default Suspension and Shocks suggestions

Im looking to get the best suspension for my jeep jk wrangler 4 door 4x4 2008. Right now im leaning toward teraflex or rough country but im open to suggestions. I am running 33's right now but probably moving to 35's so i am putting a 3-3.5" inch on it. So looking more at a great coil lift. Looking at warranty, material, and quality. This is my everyday ride I do trail and mud rides on the weekend no rock crawling. Also what is a good shock set-up. Im thinking Rancho 9000 but i believe this may be over kill for what im looking for? opinions? Or bilstein. Based on price and quality what should I look towards?

For starters, you should read the thousands upon thousands of posts on this forum and I think you'd be able to determine quite quickly which setup would best suit your needs and which companies stand behind their products. It's easy for someone to make a suggestion but what one person considers the ideal suspension lift may not be what the next would suggest. My would be to stay away from Rough Country and Rancho. Teraflex is quality stuff and they back up their products very well and hassle free might I add but in my case the coils have sagged tremendously with the added weight of bumpers and winch and the ride is pretty damn rough. From what I hear, MetalCloak and Rock Krawler have outstanding products and offer superior ride quality both on and off road. You'll pay the price going with either of these brands but you can pretty much guarantee that you won't be kicking yourself in the arse that you should have done things differently. Good luck and don't forget to use that nifty search button at the top right hand corner

This is an open question and very hard to answer because there are a lot of good companies out there that do good work. I think you are going to get a bunch of replies telling you what they did to their Jeeps. You need to build it for you, not for me or someone else. It would help to know how you are planning on using it and how hard you are going to drive it.

In my case I went with pro comp 4" stage two and regretted it from the beginning. Stay away from cheap lifts. Go with teraflex, rock Krawler, to name a few of the higher end brands. Slowly changing all my suspensions xomponents out as I go, but should have done it from the start! Hope you find what your looking for!

Lol... You can run 33" stock. 35 w/ flats, and 37 with flat and 3" lift...

I just installed Rock Krawler's 2.5" Max Travel, with Bilstein 5100 shocks, and 315/70/r17 Goodyear Dura Trac and love the ride. Seems more stable now that it was stock. After all my research, you can't go wrong with Rock Krawler, Teraflex, and Synergy to name a few. Just read the thousands of threads out there and pull the plug.

Like already stated this is a subjective answer as far as I am concerned...Teraflex will sag after time and I have not been impressed with RK I love the OME lifts they are really well built and last for the ultimate lift I am leaning toward the Metal Cloak game changer lite with the OME Sport shocks but since my wife just spent 10k on new furniture (I know, right) looks like i will be waiting a little longer for the game changer arms and just be sticking with my OME lift for now it rides better than stock because it soaks up the bumps a lot better than my stock Rubi suspension did!

Give ours a try, if you aren't happy in the first 90 days return them for a refund.
Rancho Suspension: Warranty & Ride Guarantee

The 9000's sound like a strong fit for your needs.
Good luck!
