If you have the standard shocks, honestly, anything is better.

Well I was just thinking I don't have them or anything. And haven't looked into them just wondering if its worth it or maybe different shocks to make the ride nice

Go for it! You will not regret it, the stock shocks on an X are crap!

Rubi shocks have been good, but personally I'd opt for some Bilstein 5100. These give a better ride then even the Rubi shocks. Like it was asked above. If you plan to get the shocks for free or almost, then I'd try them out, otherwise Bilstein all the way.

I know the shocks on the RUBI are better but are the springs different too? what about from a rubi with a tow package?

I have seen some rubi shocks for sale on here practically free! And I have also read from a few people about how much they liked their RUBI shocks way better than the regular shocks.

The spring are said to be stiffer and offer an inch or two in height when swapped into a 2door. I love my swapped in rubi shocks. I have a JKU sport and I'm running my stock springs, non tow package. I'm very happy with it.
