Sway bar end links.
I recently had a teraflex S/T 3 lift installed on my 2017 2 Dr Rubicon. Initially had a popping noise in the front end. Brought it back to shop after determining the axle was not centered. Once the axle was centered, I noticed the passenger side sway bar end link was canted/twisted. I still have the occasional popping noise. Sounds like two pieces of metal stuck together then pop apart. When sway bar is disconnected noise goes away. Jeep only has 3,000 miles on it. Any thoughts or ideas??
I wouldn't worry so much about the bottom joint being canted, because you have misalignment in the top joint....so it's just correcting itself I believe. I've had a popping like that before, but it's cuz I had my adjustable links at slightly different length. With a solid link like you have that's not the issue. You're axle is now perfectly centered? Sounds like it's maybe the top sway bar link joint that is popping somehow??
what are you doing when you get the popping sound? if flexing it is possible the sway bar is hitting the shock tower, coils or the tube that comes thru the frame. Most lifts have you trim that tube flush with the frame. The track bar bracket could be hitting the steering stabilizer look for witness marks as your is still pretty clean so should be easy to see where contact is being made.
