Question Sway Bar Link Question

Just replaced the stock links with a pair from Zone OR. Despite what the pic angle shows the sway bar is now parallel to the ground. The links seem to be under some pressure, is this normal? Had to have a partner push up hard on the opposite side of the bumper so I could get the last bolt in.
Guess the longer link will allow my front suppension to move without undue stress on the bar? Just curious? Also, the stock links have a joint at the bottom mounting point, none of the replacements that I looked at seem to have this feature. Why?

it got dark, work lights

Your fine you were just probably on ground that was uneven.

The only way to have pressure on the sway bar is if one link is shorter than the other or the ground is slightly uneven.

Your fine!!
