Default Swaybar help.... Please..

I cannot get the lower part o the sway bar to come off....Am I doing something wrong? I am holding the inside with an open ended wrench and using socket on outside.... But I cannot get it to break loose... Inside nut is starting to strip.

Used wd 40 on it... Am I missing something??? It just won't break loose...

Check the threads that are exposed. They could be damaged. A file and a little work and you can fix them.

WD isn't a penetrating oil. Try AeroKroil or PB Blaster.

I had to use a big pair of vise grips with a lot of pressure to get a set off once. Just use penetrating oil not WD40 and crank away. Replace them with some TeraFlex QD when you get them off, much better.

I was having the same problem till I stuck my jack under my axle and raised and lowered it slowly. Eventually I found the sweet spot and the bolt slid right out.

Agree with delux. Find the sweet spot with a Jack. When I put my lift on that's what it took. Front and rear. Kroil is good stuff though. Used it a LOT rebuilding old engines. Or as planman said cut it off.
