Default Swaybar touching front coil

'09 X w 4" Pro Comp. My swaybar, where it connects to the quick disconnect, hits the front coil spring on the drivers side only. I've seen others that are close and some that are not. Anyone with some serious skills and knowledge that can offer some input please. I will post a pic tomorrow. Thanks.

you either need to adjust your arms, they are to long or you have a bent coil

Default ?

Typically the OEM set up has the front axle skewed to allow for crown in the road ...and allow alignment techs to adjust for driver preference for pull etc.
If you installed a lift and set your front arms exactly the same length ...you eliminate this.
It is harder on the bushing ...but I adjusted (drilled out) the bracket which holds the sway bar to the frame. As I prefered my CA's to be set the same.
Others compensate and make the adjustment on the drivers side CA's.
(not offset side to side ........it is a thrust angle)

I'll have to investigate and try to figure out what you're saying. Thanks.

Default close but not touching

I'd like to see what you discover on this issue, my driver side sway bar link is about 1/4" away from my coil and the passenger is over 1". Not really sure what's going on with it. And my coils look like they're settling in different directions, driver side toward the front passenger side toward the back, could all be related?

He is referring to the fact that roads are not perfectly flat, they have a crown in the center. To compensate for this, vehicle manufacturer's install the axle at a very slight angle. If you measured your control arm on one side and then perfectly matched the length of the control arm on the other side, then you eliminated this skew.

You can determine if this is the problem by measuring the length of the stock CAs and if there is a difference, you should adjust the same difference into your adjustable CAs.

I am having the exact same issue with my set-up, but I fixed the problem by adjusting my drivers side JKS disco up by ~1/8". My CA's are set to the exact same length, if I adjust the drivers by ~1/8-1/4" will that be a better route?

What disconnects do you have? Are they adjustable?
Did you install the lift?
You might just need to get a good, full alignment done. Even if I measure everything carefully, I still have one done after I mod my suspension.
