Synergy vs Rockkrawler
I Was wondering are synergy track bars and tie rods and other steering components stronger then rockkrawler ones? I'm planning on a rockkrawler 1.5" xfactor lift for my 2dr but I want to know if it would be smart to get synergy trackbars instead of the rockkrawler ones that come with the lift
You'd be smart to get the synergy parts and also skip the x-factor part of the lift. You're buying tons of parts you don't need and that won't add any value. However, they will add complexity and cost.
My vote is for synergy. Installed their drag link on a buddies jeep today. When parts begin to fail on mine, I'll replace them all with their products. That's what I've done so far and I've never been disappointed.
What do you mean by that? What parts of the rockkrawler kit should I get? And not get?
As for the lift, you don't need to replace all of the control arms. All you need is the front lowers or uppers. And if you have a 4 door, you should be fine without any new arms. Adding arms adds issues. Expensive alignments, more maintenance, etc. For what? You're going to run a max of 10" of travel. The arms provide no benefit. Unless you hit the rocks hard, in which case having a stronger arm can make sense (but the stock arms will hold up pretty well). The more parts you replace, the more issues you will have. Replace only what you need to and you will be far happier in the end.
First off, Synergy has a solid track record regarding its tie rod and other components. It's just the best option. Every other manufacturer has had one issue or another. Front lines no, rear yes. Just remove front brackets at axle. You'll want front lower arms to adjust caster. Bump stops depend on many variables (tire size, fender clearance, wheel back space, shock length, etc.).
The Rk trackbars ship with that $2000 Rk lift, so why would you not go ahead and use them??
A reason someone might want a synergy trackbar, instead of the rk trackbars that come with the lift, would be if they specifically wanted to run the synergy flip? (since their trackbars are bent/designed to work with their flips). You haven't got the height to worry about a flip, so why worry about swapping out brand new parts that come with the lift?
And x2 on not needing the whole x-factor setup for such a short lift. Consider starting minimal and adding on later if/when you feel the need.
