How do you think the Or-Fab will handle 3.75" backspacing (offset) though? Won't the offset put added stress on the carrier? Because won't the back of the tire rubber be out of contact from pressing against the metal carrier?

I'm looking into buying one very very shortly and am just trying to get opinions/facts.

they say you can safely keep 35's without ruining your tailgate over time and a few people have had good success with it... definitely more cost effective at under $50 or so... probably going to get this when I eventually get my tire upgrade because the $$ wont be there for the expensive tire carrier bumpers as well
This is worth a try, I ordered mine today

I just put the Or-Fab carrier on 4 days ago, and put the stock Rubi tire/rim on it, and it looks like it will be fine, the tire pushes all the way up against the rack, so I don't understand the need for a spacing kit?

Maybe for non-Rubi tires?

You can get it from North Ridge 4x4 cheap!

Here is the install-> Ord Fab Tire Carrier Install

Mine started doing it a few weeks ago. It lasted about 6 months with a heavy Toyo 35 on it. I have a LOD bumper ordered and it should be here in a week or two. Flipped my receiver hitch over and made a spacer for the spare to rest on until the LOD comes in, works good but makes it a pain to use the rear gate.
