Default Ruby Springs

Back in May I swapped my stock Sahara springs - front, 17's and rear, 55's for a set of JKUR springs that were 19's and 59's. It leveled my Jeep out which was awesome. I got a 1.5 inch lift in the front and a 1 inch lift in the rear. It was something that I had help with from some friends with experience. It was a super easy process! Just for fun I too called around to see what shops would charge me and was told $400 as well......That is truly crazy because there is no level of difficulty associated with the process. None. It was also very quick.

Ahhhh. I forgot to mention that I used the Rubicon shocks as well! I got a great deal from a friend that only put a few miles on his Jeep before lifting it.

Pic above is from the install. Lower the axle far enough and the springs just come out by hand!

Shocks were the easiest part.

Hey there. So, I just went front 14/55 to 19/60 this Sunday in my 2010 JK. I was sitting on 2" spacers, with steel front and rear bumper. I previously installed JKS Quicker Disconnects and Adjustable Track Bar due to spacer lift.

With this set up I had saggy-ass springs and bouncy ride with rear seeming to bottom out often (horrible roads in Michigan). Oh yeah, I have Fox 2.0's, and 35" Mud Grapplers, trimmed fenders, but no pinch seem trim yet.

Anyway, put in the springs and removed spacers, still same shocks. Based on looks and sway bar angles it looks like same lift in front as with spacers, maybe even a touch more, and ditto in back.

No sagging, less brake dive, no rear bottoming out, and it rides smother and corners better.
It's more level as well, especially with the front not sagging. I'm pretty sure I profited lift-wise both front and rear over the spacers due to the sag.

TLDR: it's a fricking sweet cheap mod with a lot of bang for your buck! Highly recommend if you have lower number springs (I moved five steps front and rear).

Obligatory poser pic to follow.

Rear springs difference in case anyone is interested.

I did this with jack stands, hi lift jack, and spring compressors so I was too busy compressing and loosening springs with hand tools to take more pics, haha. Highly recommend getting a jack under the axle and drooping with shock bottom out unless you have a quick way to compress springs!
